Pokwang in a Relationship with American Actor Lee O'Brian
Filipina Comedian-actress Pokwang admits her relationship with Hollywood actor, Lee O'Brian. Lee told Pokwang about his feelings and expressed his desired to visit Philippines to promote their movie, Edsa Woolworth.
During her interview with Kris Aquino, Pokwang told how their love story began. She said, "Nung last shooting day, so uuwi na ako the next day, ayun na, hindi siya umaalis sa tabi ko".
Then she added, “'Tapos parang sinabi niya na, ‘[Sana] papuntahin kami sa Pilipinas para mag-promote kami ng movie.’” She even teased him if that is the real reason why he wants to come to the Philippines, but the actor just give a meaningful smile.
During the premiere of the movie Edsa Woolworth last January 13 at SM Megamall, Pokwang said that she has given a chance to talk with Lee, to confirmed what is the real status between them. She said, “Mahirap baka mamaya, ‘di ba… hirap nung parang… ako lang yung in love tapos… Dun ko nalaman. Sinabi niya, ano ka ba, first shooting day palang, meron na siyang kiyeme (feelings for her),” she revealed. “(Sabi ko) Ano tayo? Tapos hinalikan niya ko. Sabi niya gusto niya ko. ‘Yun lang. Masaya siya pag nakikita niya ko, pag magkasama kami,”.
As of Lee's part, in an exclusive interview with PEP, the actor said, "Our chemistry off-screen is solid, yeah."
"When you go through that many scenes and many situations together, you become close, you bond. "And off-screen, we’re friends. "We enjoyed keeping in touch pretty much during the last few months as much as we could. "Obviously, the distance, really, it’s not that easy. "And being that she is so busy, I got a pretty busy schedule myself back in the States.... "She has an enormously busy schedule. "Well, yeah, it’s good relationship off-screen, too."
The two of them are "just good friends."
"I mean, both of us, I don’t know if we’ve directly spoken about it. "But the future holds what the future holds, right? "I can’t really predict anything or say anything. "But you know, I would hope that we could at least remain really good friends for a long time," Lee added. "Pokwang is great. Everyone I have met, Filipinos and fans, says the same things.
When Pokwang was ask about what did her daughter Mae say about this, she said, “Actually nahirapan ako kay bagets ah… ‘Yun pala, nakakaramdam na siya. Hinihintay niya lang magsabi ako pero okay naman sa kanya. Sabi niya, ‘o wag ka lang shunga. Alam mo na yan… Gusto ko makita kang happy ka,’ eh nakikita naman niyang masaya ako so… Tapos sabi ko sa kanya, ‘wag kang mag-alala, hindi ko pababayaan tuition mo, tapos tumawa siya ng malakas,”.
Pokwang also said that if her relationship with Lee turns out well, she plans on living in America for good together with her daugther Mae after she finish her studies for her dreams is to work abroad. It is said that Pokwang and Lee's monthsary is in 20th day of the month.
