Kris Aquino: First time to ride MRT

PHILIPPINES- The famous "Queen of all Media" and sister of Pres. Aquino, celebrity Miss Kris Aquino was spotted on board the Metro Rail Transit or MRT after a worse evening rush hour traffic last Tuesday.

Encountered with a rush hour traffic along EDSA, she was on hurry going to an event hosted by a brand she's endorsing. Kris revealed on her Instagram and said, “Parking lot level ang EDSA,” and that her service vehicle didn't move for 45minutes.


She decided to rode the public train, together with thousand of regular passenger and assured of her security.

Before she buy the train's ticket, one of the Presidential Security Group told her that, ‘ma’am, ok lang po kasi ‘yung first three (coaches) puro babae lang po dun so pwede kayo dun.’ 

"Ma'am, it's okay because the first 3 (coaches) there are all girls, so you'll be okay on there"

After that, she is in hurry to buy the ticket and board the MRT.

Her sister called and advice her that, ‘Krissy, change shoes, okay? I’m sure you have flats so mag-flats ka muna.’ but she change it into a dressier pair of black cage heels when she arrived at the event.

She talk about her experienced in riding the MRT, she stated, 

“Ang bait nila. Kasi they made space for me talaga. Yun ang naramdaman ko kasi tinatanong nila ‘gano ka-traffic ba para mapasakay ka?’ Sabi ko, ‘dalawang oras eh. Imagine sa Buendia ako nanggaling. Paseo de Roxas pa-Buendia. Two hours to get to Guadalupe! Ano ba yun! Sabi ko, ay naku, bahala na si Batman. Go na 'to!“

"They're all kind. Because they made space for me. They ask me, "How bad is the traffic that you need to ride here? I said, "2 hours. Imagine, i came from Buendida, Paseo de Roxas to Buendida, 2 hours to get to Guadalupe! What's that. I said, Ay naku ("Ay, naku is a Filipino expression similiar to 'oh, c'mon') Go!"

She continue, “Naaliw sila! Tapos sabi ko, ‘picture tayo!’ Tapos lahat sila sabay-sabay naglabasan ng camera. It’s so cute.”

"They had great fun" Then I said, Let's take a pictures, then together, they brought out there cameras. It's so cute".

Asking her if she is willing to ride MRT again, Kris immediate reply, 

"oo naman"(yes, of course")

Lastly she said,  

“Ang saya! Nakaka-tao, di ba? At yun ang gusto ko. Parang sabi ko nga, ang traffic, walang pinipili talaga. Na-realize ko ‘yung convenience nung MRT.”

("It's fun. Feels like human. And that's what I wanted. Like I said that traffic didn't choose anyone (its like that, traffic didn't treat anyone special, even celebrities). I realized how convenience the MRT was").

Not just Kris Aquino, but other celebrities, including Manny Pacquiao spotted riding the MRT the last few days because of the very worst traffic situation in Manila.
